Michelle's personal career in London has led her to understand the demands of city life and how it can affect mental health and how important it is to pay attention to your well-being.
Michelle obtained her first degree in BSc Psychology at The University of Surrey and completed her BACP Accredited qualification in Integrative Counselling in London and is currently part of the counselling team at The University of Roehampton. She has also worked with client's who have been referred by the NHS in both long term and short term therapy.
Michelle specialises working with individuals with emotional difficulties such as depression and anxiety, paranoia, feelings of dissociation, anger, interpersonal relationships, PTSD, trauma, feelings of hopelessness, bereavement, exam stress, existential crisis, relationship and sex, personality disorders, physical, sexual and emotional abuse and binge eating.
Michelle has a keen interest in neuropsychology and the affects on prescribed medication on the body and has worked with prescribers such as GP's and Psychiatrists to help clients get the most out of counselling whilst taking medication.
Experience includes providing short term DBT (dialectical behavioural therapy) which incorporates CBT and Psychodynamic evidence based techniques targeted at helping manage distress tolerance and conflicts surrounding interpersonal relationships whether it be at work, romantic relationships or familial. She has also provided more long term sessions using a psychodynamic and person centred approach in educational settings such as schools, universities and the council, working with a wide variety of clients of different ages and cultural backgrounds.
She has also gained extensive experience with working with people with learning disabilities in Educational settings. Michelle has worked within multi-disciplinary teams consisting of GPs, Mental Health Advisors and Social Workers.

The practice is located near Collingtree Park Golf Club which is discreetly placed seconds off the A45.
Leave the M1 at junction 15 and take the exit towards A45 Northampton/Wellingborough.
Drive past the turning for the Hilton Hotel and take the next slip road for East Hunsbury.
At the roundabout take the second exit straight on, Rowtree Road. At the next roundabout, take the first exit, which will be signposted as Collingtree Park Golf Club. Parking is readily available.

Michelle's London practice promises a relaxing and confidential space located in the heart of Ealing Broadway. Just a few minutes walk from the rail station, with tube links on the District, Piccadilly and Central line and frequent trains running from Ealing Broadway to Paddington & Reading.
Buses: You can catch the 83, 207, 427, 607, N207 services on The Broadway towards Hanwell to the west and Acton, or Hanger Lane East and North. The 65 stops on the High street towards Brentford.
