What To Expect
Coming to therapy may be daunting and overwhelming, be it for the first time or for continued therapy, we try to make it as un-intimidating and comfortable for our clients as possible.

Step one
Have a look at which therapist you think would suit you best, we might specialise in different areas or have a profile that appeals to you more.

Step Two
Email the one you are interested in and whoever you pick will be in touch within 24 hours of your inquiry to set up an initial chat over the phone.

Step Three
We think the most important thing is to make sure our clients feel comfortable with who they pick, that is why we offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if you like the sound of us before proceeding. If you would like to chat with both of us to see who fits best we can set this up for you. This is free of charge.

Step Four
If after the initial phone conversation you would like to book the first session this will be set up by us, at a time and day that suits you.

​Step Five
We recommend weekly 50 minute sessions however some people might prefer fortnightly. The location of face-to-face therapy will be where we have our practice, this can be found on our profiles. You can remain online or switch to face-to-face, or do both depending on your timetable. We understand people's circumstances change and so we are very flexible​. Most sessions are taking place online, but if you would like face-to-face therapy then exceptions can be made so please enquire. We will be going back to face-to-face fully at the beginning of September 2021.

Step Six
The first session is an assessment so we can see in more depth what it is that you might need. If after the first session you think 'this is not for me' then, of course, you are not obliged to come back. You can stop sessions at any time, you are not tied in to anything

Step Seven
You will be sent or given a confidentiality contract to read through and sign during your first session, so you can be assured that everything discussed is strictly confidential. The contract will also include information on payment and our cancellation policy etc. We do ask for payment before the first session.

Step Eight
We hope you start to benefit from the sessions be it online/ face to face or short-term/ long-term.
